Check Your Tickets, There's An Unclaimed R110 Million South African Jackpot

The South African National Lottery operator Ithuba are calling on all players to check their tickets after it was confirmed that R110 million had been won over the past weekend's lotto draw.

Khensani Mabuza, the head of marketing at Ithuba, announced to the media that a grand total of R110 million has been won on the past weekend's Saturday lotto draw. She also revealed that there are four tickets that matched five of the lucky numbers, each winning a R27.5 million jackpot.

In a statement to the media she said, “We have four winning numbers - another first for the National Lottery. We are so excited to announce that we managed to change not one but four lives with the R110m won by four tickets - that is R27.5m each."

She has urged players to visit the National Lottery website or the retailer where their tickets were purchased to check their results. Winners have 365 days to claim their prize, and need to supply Ithuba with a copy of their ID book, bank statement, the winning ticket and a proof of residence. Winners will also receive complimentary services, such as legal and financial counsel, when collecting their winnings.
