Retired Couple Bag A Big £58 Million Jackpot
A Scottish couple will be enjoying a better retirement than they could ever dream of after they bagged an incredible £58 million EuroMillions jackpot.
The jackpot, which is one of the biggest ever won in Scotland, came to exactly £57,975,365 and went to a lucky retired couple from Aberdeen. The draw took place on Tuesday 10 July, with the winners only coming forward recently.
The couple matched all the winning numbers, which came in at 3, 8, 26, 33, 45 and the lucky numbers were 7 and 10. The win was the 14th biggest ever jackpot won in a European National Lottery.
Andy Carter, the senior winner's advisor for the National Lottery, said that “What an amazing win. We look forward to helping them begin to enjoy their win.”
The couple only contacted Camelot recently with their winning ticket as they were still deciding if they wanted to go public with their win. The couple will be giving a statement to the press in the coming week.
