UK Couple Become 5,000th National Lottery Multi-Millionaires

A married couple from Slough carried around the £21 million winning lotto ticket for a week before coming forward to claim their prize and become the 5,000th millionaires crowned by the National Lottery.

Married couple David and Donna Stickley took home the entire jackpot prize, an amazing £21,044 592, in a Lotto Rollover draw which took place on May 12th. The couple, who have been playing the lotto for years, picked up their winning ticket on a Friday night while on their way to their favourite local pub.

The couple are still deciding on how to spend their winnings, but they do have one thing on the top of their wishlist - a new set of pots and pans!

Donna was the first to discover that they had won a prize, and was told by a local shop to contact lottery operator Camelot because their prize was over £500. When Donna found out she phoned her husband David, who was at work at the time.

While the couple think of what to do next, they will be taking care of their parents who are not in the best of health. "We've always said to them whatever care they need we will find the money, so this makes the situation even more manageable," David said.
